Hello Distillery District
The Distillery District located on the eastern boundary of Downtown Toronto, is a recently new neighbourhood with
numerous high-rise condo buildings, restaurants and shops.
The district is the previous home of Gooderham and Worts Distillery – a Canadian Distiller founded in 1832.
In1990, the Gooderham and Worts distillery complex was closed and the area was eventually converted into the
Distillery District that we know today.
This is downtown living at its finest! Stroll, run or cycle along Lake Ontario, walk steps to a sparkling nightlife,
take transit at your doorstep and arrive at work in the financial core of the city just a few blocks away. The
neighbourhood is transit-ready, pedestrian-friendly and highway-equipped—it even has an airport.
In addition to the stunning condominiums (most of which have fabulous lake views), the neighbourhood is a national
historical site with galleries, restaurants and other local businessesoccupying the converted Victorian industrial
buildings. One of the neighbourhoods most famous traditions is the annual Christmas Market. Taking place each
December, the market gives visitors the opportunity to sample local vendors and restauranteurs.
Condo development has been in high demand since the Distillery District came to be. The quaintness of the area,
combined with its proximity to downtown and public transit, has made it desirable to Torontonians. There
arecurrently six condos in the Distillery District: Pure Spirit, Clear Spirit, The Gooderham, Parliament Square, 80
Mill Street and Lindenwood.
