Winterlicious, Toronto ‘s culinary program aimed at boosting the city’s restaurant industry, is on.
The wintertime prix fixe promotion, which focuses on bringing diners into eateries during a typically slow period of business, kicked off today and runs until Feb. 13.
More than 200 of Toronto’s best restaurants are participating in 18th annual Winterlicious, which welcomes 18 new participants: Alchemy Food and Drink; Arthur's Restaurant; Babel; Bandit Brewery; Bodega Henriette King; Café Cancan; Grand Cru Deli; Kramer's at the Cosmo; La Vecchia Lakeshore; Lavelle; MARBL; Marzitelli Ristorante; Pie Bar; Planta Yorkville; Rosalinda Restaurant; The Civic at The Broadview Hotel; The Shozan Room; and VIV at The Cosmopolitan Hotel.
This year’s program also includes 14 culinary events.
Reservations are strongly encouraged and can be made online or by telephone directly with the restaurants.
Winterlicious offers three-course prix fixe lunch menus priced at $23, $28 and $33, and dinner for $33, $43, and $53.
"Winterlicious has become a celebration of Toronto’s reputation as a culinary hub around the world and is one of the most anticipated events of the winter season. With more than 200 participating restaurants, I encourage everyone to take part," said Toronto Mayor John Tory in a Jan. 31 release.
